I completed this book in December 2019. I really enjoyed all the aspects of the publishing and am interested in more work of this nature.
During my 10 years with YWCA Clark County, I designed and published the annual community report, changing out the theme annually while maintaining a brand structure. This playful paint issue is a favorite of mine.
Another annual project at YWCA was creating the marketing and communications for the luncheon. Here is the print invitation to the event. The theme was carried into social media marketing, a poster, and day of event signage.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month was always a favorite time of year for me. 2017 was a fun and successful campaign.
Through my exploration of dance, I came across Headwaters/Water In the Desert, for which I did a few freelance projects.
My first job in the Northwest was with the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy putting together publications. As part of my work there, I published this newsletter monthly online and in print.
Prior to my move out west, I was in graduate school at SIUC. My main gig was managing the Apple Sales Center, but I also did a few hours a week for Center for English as a Second Language. During that assistantship, I created this program brochure.
I started making maps in 2000 while working for a cartography business. Even though it’s been 20 years, the joy of map-making has never left me.
Sometime after working at the cartography business, I became employed by a partnering company which used the maps in city and county brochures and magazines.
This is another map/brochure that I designed while employed with the community publishing company.
I had a term at a print shop, where my friend Mary and I worked with a very interesting person, Gordon Pruett to publish “Old Times in Herrin.” Gordon had a real appreciation for detail, and a fondness for Goudy Old Style.
